On September 10, 2020, the International Scientific Conference “Economic and Social Determinants of Regional Development” was held. This event was intended to:
- present the results of scientific research and practical experience in local and regional development,
- integrate scientists and practitioners from Poland and abroad,
- indicate possibilities for further research.
The thematic scope of the conference had wide range and covered issues like:
- economic and social conditions for the development of rural areas,
- entrepreneurship in the economic and social perspective,
- the role of tourism in regional and local development,
- social capital in regional and local development,
- EU policy for regional and local development,
- the importance of information and promotion in economic and social development,
- cultural determinants of regional and local development.
The opportunity to present the results of their research had representatives of both domestic and foreign institutions and research centers, among which can be mentioned:

The organizer of the conference was Department of Tourism, Social Communication and Counselling of the Faculty of Economics of Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW. The event was carried out via MS Teams platform.
